On September 10, Suzhou University of Science and Technology (SUST) visited VOLSUN for a technical exchange focused on new material development and industry-academia-research cooperation.

The visiting delegation toured VOLSUN’s product showroom, manufacturing facilities, laboratories, and testing center. Through the visit, the university team gained a closer understanding of VOLSUN’s work in functional polymer materials, electrical insulation and protection, thermal management, and motor bearing electrical protection, as well as the company’s approach to connecting material research with practical industrial applications.
During the following discussion, VOLSUN introduced its R&D capabilities and current technology priorities based on customer requirements and application needs. Areas of interest included shaft grounding rings, thermal conductive potting materials, electromagnetic shielding, and specialty protection materials.

Researchers from SUST also presented their work and technical expertise in several related fields, including conductive materials, silicone rubber modification, carbon nanotube electromagnetic shielding, new energy materials, specialty protection materials, and hydrogen energy. The exchange highlighted a number of areas with potential for further technical cooperation.
Rather than limiting cooperation to academic discussion, both sides emphasized the importance of addressing real industrial challenges through joint research and practical validation. This approach is intended to help connect university research capabilities with engineering requirements and accelerate the application of research achievements in industry.
The two sides discussed several potential forms of cooperation, including joint technical research, research project applications, laboratory collaboration, technology commercialization, faculty engagement, student internships, and talent development.

Following the meeting, VOLSUN plans to visit relevant laboratories at SUST for further discussions on specific technical topics and potential cooperation projects. This next step is expected to provide a more practical foundation for moving the relationship from initial communication toward project-based collaboration.
For VOLSUN, collaboration with universities and research institutions is an important way to strengthen the connection between material innovation and industrial applications. By combining research expertise with customer needs, engineering development, manufacturing capabilities, and application experience, VOLSUN aims to turn innovative material technologies into practical solutions for real-world industrial challenges.

Through continued collaboration with academic and research partners, VOLSUN will explore new opportunities in advanced materials and technology development, supporting the creation of higher-value products and solutions for customers.
