Cold Shrink tube Insulator is made of special purpose silicone rubber with a high shrink ratio and excellent physical and mechanical properties like slab and prick resistance. It reliably seals electrical connections of electric communications and cable televisions against water and moisture and effectively insulates wire and cable connections or joints and other electrical connections etc.

Then, the degree of expansion needs a quantitative concept to characterize, which leads to the definition of shrinkage expansion ratio.
Shrink ratio: It means that the extent to which the prefabricated silicone rubber tube body is expanded on the support bar or the main insulation surface of the cable.

Why is the Shrink ratio of silicone rubber cold shrinkable tube products an important technology and index? What are the advantages of a large expansion rate? There are the following reasons:
1.The cold-shrinkable tube can adapt to a wider range of cable specifications. That is, one type of cable accessory can adapt to more cross-section cables, which can reduce inventory and reduce stocking.
2. The radial pressure of the cold-shrinkable tube on the cable can be increased, that is, the cold-shrinkable tube can be attached more closely to the main insulation of the cable. This helps to seal the cold shrink tube and prevent moisture and water.
3. The gap between the cold shrink tube and the cable can be made smaller, and the air can be removed more completely, which is beneficial to reduce the level of partial discharge and reduce the possibility of creepage.
